Scarlet Witch by kevinwada Scarlet Witch by kevinwada
Round 4 of the X-fashions has commenced! Here we have Scarlet Witch who is serving up old-Hollywood vampiness. I kept her costume pretty straight-forward and recognizable - gunning for 40s bathing suit meets modern corset and hot pants. She has a golden age of Hollywood kind of costuming going on. MGM period musical, possibly?

What paint do you use? The colour palette you use is remarkable!

Please get involved in the future X-Men movies, I would love to see this costume on screen one day, I think it'd be perfect for a First Class 60s era, like in a night club or something. Fantastic. Have loved all of your designs, this one particularly.

I love the headdress. Nice nod to the Roma influence. Also reminds me of (head) adornment worn by the women of the Qajar court, in Iran.

I saw this on Project Rooftop. I love the intricate details of the jewelry hanging from her head dress. What media did you use?

Perfect! You managed to exploit her old-timey look, which so many comic artists find so difficult to deal with, and make it a sheer strength.
I wish when she makes it to the movies she will look something like this.

Thank goodness for this! All this while I wondered WHY they'd make a character like Scarlet Witch look like a tacky freak. This comes as a breath of fresh air! :D
